July 11th, 2009 - Posted in Architecture DesignThis is Sydney Apartments architecture design located in Sydney, Australia was design by Turner + Associates. Built on 6,784 sqm site areas and complete constructed in 2005 with total cost $70 million.

FORM is one of an ensemble of projects located within Victoria Park at the fringe of Green Square. The design was the result of genuine architectural collaboration. The design team comprised Turner + Associates from Sydney, Bolles + Wilson from Germany and Nation Associates from Melbourne, achieving natural diversity within a unified framework.

Regular design workshops in Muenster provided an esquisse methodology that has produced a strategy both full of character and flexible in terms of its programmatic content. The site concept is a family of four forms on the urban block that respond to street edge conditions, public open space and orientation producing architecture that is considered at an urban scale, while at the same time giving due consideration to each individual unit. These forms are folded, sculpted, carved, and have surfaces overlaid with a variety of balcony formations. The colour selection enhances the volumetric composition of the precast concrete surfaces.
Charcoal and white are used to highlight building form and massing while tonal shifts of green help animate the facades. Increased drama is created by the use of supergraphics.
