Cutler House, Contemporary House by MYA in Montauk, New York
May 30th, 2009 - Posted in Architecture Design
US based architects Murdock Young built the Cutler House in Montauk, New York as a vacation home. The clients brief was to create a house that had a minimal impact on the surrounding landscape. MYA achieved this by creating a home which blends in with the surrounding forest by adopting a textured wood paneled exterior.

The basic requirements of each space were considered integrally with the effects of sunlight, breezes and views. The house was conceived as a lens, continually framing and magnifying the subtle changes in the surrounding environment.
